So me and my boyfriend seperated for a few months and just got back together - we're still working thru some trust issues. He's been pretty insecure about me talking to other guys, even if it's just friends. I get it, I'd feel the same way... but tbh it's hard not to take it personal when he freaks out on me for somethin that's totally harmless. Like the other day I was at a party and I ran into this guy I knew from work, we exchanged a few texts - nothing flirtatious or anything - and my boyfriend saw the convo and lost it. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells around him, never knowing what's gonna set him off. Ngl, it's definately taking a toll on our relationship. How do I help him see that I'm commited to him, and that he doesn't have to be so jealous all the time?

so ive been in your shoes before and trust me, its tough. my ex and i took a break and when we got back together he was super insecure about me talking to other guys too. what helped us was setting boundaries and being really open with each other. we made a rule that if either of us felt uncomfortable about something, we'd talk about it right away. dont bottle it up, thats just gonna make things worse. i also made sure to reassure him that i was committed to our relationship and that talking to other guys wasnt a big deal for me. we still have our ups and downs but its getting better. just be patient and communicate alot
