Is this love or too much?

So me and my fiancée been together 8 months, and things been good — real good. We both got clean, no more partying like we used to down in New Orleans. She’s sweet, takes care of me, always got my back. But lately, when I’m out with the boys, she texts every damn hour. “You good?” “Where you at?” “Y’all eat yet?” Says it’s ‘cause she cares, not trying to control me. I get that. But man, it feels heavy. Last Saturday I didn’t reply for like two hours (we was jamming at this dive bar, phones on silent) and she called the bar. Asked for me by name 😒. I laughed it off then, but it kinda stung. My mom said, “A woman that worried’s invested,” but my older brother’s like, “That ain’t concern, that’s insecurity.” I don’t wanna be that dude who don’t let his woman breathe, but I also gotta be able to kick it with my friends without feeling watched. She ain’t mean, just… intense. Is this normal? Or are we setting up for problems later? I love her, but damn.
